Many of my images fall into a collection of "Themes" which I shoot on a regular basis.
These themes include; Railroad, Special Effects, Tombstones, Water, and Black & White and Toned images.
----- My "Tombstone" and cemetery images are almost all of the old ones, some dating back to the late 1700s, and many with the "Old English" lettering. They range from old west ghost town graves, (left), the graves at Civil War Battlefields such as Gettysburg, up to the recent dead at Arlington Nat'l. Cemetery. I always try to find the unique tombstones, and at military cemeteries I also try to find any graves of Medal of Honor winners, old and new.
----- My "Railroad" images range from old to new subjects, and anything that has to do with railroading, but I mostly shoot the old working stock steam engines whenever and wherever I can find them. Since many in my family were railroad engineers, I grew up on the railroad, even riding in the old steam engines when I was a kid, so to me there is nothing like the sound of the rails and a steam whistle.
----- My "Black & White and Toned" images are mostly for my fine art and decor collection. I no longer shoot much B&W film, so now most B&W and toned images are digital conversions. Many are also from color originals. ------------(the image at left is a b&w film original)
